The Profanity Embroidery Group of Whitstable will be presenting their own particular take on that most peculiarly British small work of art – the common Seaside Postcard.

Following their sell-out Valentine’s show at Whitstable’s Fishslab Gallery, the Profanity Embroidery Group will tackle this most ubiquitous art form, bringing needlework skills and needle-sharp minds and tongues to focus on suggestive sauce and double entendre.

Created by accident in the summer of 2014, the Profanity Embroidery Group – Whitstable meets twice a month in the Duke of Cumberland Pub, to stitch and put the world to rights over a few drinks.  The Quilt of Profanity was the first major project, which was unveiled to great delight (and some complaints) at the Valentine’s show, and the Group is now taking on the Fabric of Society.
