Triona believes that art can only function properly when it has the oxygen of an audience; that the consumption of art is an event that requires three ingredients, namely the art, the artist and the viewer. Triona sees it as an essential triangle, and for her the most important part of that set up is the linking of viewer and viewed. Nothing pleases her more than when a stranger sees her work and reacts to it, they may love or hate it but it is the fact that there is a reaction that gives meaning to the encounter. Triona does not deliberately set out to make art with the public in mind.
