Find Your Place: Coastal Connections and Urban Narratives comprises three installations as detailed below, that use textiles, print and moving image to explore themes of family, community, shared histories and site. The works investigate ways that individuals and communities try to create connections with each other and their associated environments.

Ties That Bind At The Water’s Edge is a contemplative piece, which creates an exchange between the sculptural and filmic through its suspended cotton yarn ‘nets’ and a silent projection of ‘digital drawings’ of a waterfront in a working harbour. On The Edge Of My Seat highlights the contrast between people’s dreams, aspirations and the realities associated with seaside living. Patterns of Home is a semi-documentary film that explores homelessness through the experiences of four men.
