Clare’s work is an attempt to distort the boundary between nature and culture by means of fabricating the natural world in various materials, such as rubber and latex. Her aim is to convince the viewer that they are looking at a real live plant or creature. In creating her own versions, Clare indulges in playful twists and manipulation.

Since obtaining a BA in Fine Art at Camberwell School of Art, Clare has been working and exhibiting consistently.
